NY Giants Beat Patriots...Greatest Upset In Super Bowl History!
In what is the biggest upset in Super Bowl History, the NY Giants beat the previously unbeaten New England Patriots 17-14 in Glendale, Arizona. Eli Manning won the MVP and became the 2nd Quarterback in his family to win the Super Bowl, as well as the 2nd QB taken in the 2004 draft to win a Super Bowl, behind Ben Roethlisberger. What started out as the 2nd lowest scoring game in the first half ended up with the most lead changes in the 4th Quarter in Super Bowl History. This was a game that made hero's out of goats and goats out of hero's. The Patriots finish the season 18-1 and will go down as the biggest goat in history. The Giants went into the playoffs as a Wild Card and ended up a Champion, led by Manning who played a nearly flawless game and surrounded by one of the best defenses the NFL has seen in years. The Giants defense was tenacious and got to QB Tom Brady repeatedly, sacking him, knocking him down, and pressuring him. This was a truly masterful gameplan. The NY Giants are Super Bowl Champions!!
