Nebraska Fires Callahan, College Football Carousel Begins!

The day after Texas A&M coach Dennis Franchione resigned, Interim Nebraska Athletic Director Tom Osborne has announced the firing of head football coach Bill Callahan. At a 10:30am EST news conference, the former head football coach legend, Osborne announced the decision to Cornhusker Nation. You could almost hear a collective cheer come from Nebraska. This along with the Franchione resignation rings extremely loud because of the success of Big 12 teams Kansas and Missouri. When a school with a long tradition like Nebraska has a tough season it only seems worse to fans when schools like Kansas with little football tradition have the success they have seen. Up next on the watch list for college coaches is Syracuse Greg Robinson.
