MONDAY NIGHT PREVIEW: 49ERS AT SEAHAWKS

Tonight on Monday Night Football the San Francisco 49ers travel to the Seattle Seahawks to play in stormy conditions with winds up to 50mph. The 49ers have more storms affected them as Head Coach Mike Nolan mourns the loss of his father, former 49ers Coach Dick Nolan who passed away on Sunday. Dick Nolan had been in declining health with Alzheimer's disease and prostate cancer for several years. He spent the last few months at an assisted-care facility in the Dallas area, near his longtime home with his wife, Ann. Seattle is looking to replace Shaun Alexander who is out due to injury and are looking to go back to Mike Holmgren's 60/40 offense. 60% passing and 40% running. That coupled with the 49ers struggles on offense makes this an unbearable game to watch. This is definately not one of the better MNF games on the schedule. The human drama of Mike Nolan coaching after his father's death plus the interest of watching football in bad weather may be the only reasons to tune in to ESPN at 8:30pm. 49ers win 12-9.
