JIMMIE JOHNSON WINS IN DALLAS, TAKE LEAD IN THE CHASE

Jimmie Johnson continues to run through the Chase for the Cup like a driver on a mission. He took over the top spot from teammate Jeff Gordon with his win at the Texas Motor Speedway in the Dickies 500. With only 2 races remaining in the chase, Johnson looks like the odds on favorite to win. Johnson beat out Matt Kenseth in a side by side battle to win his 3rd straight race. The bottom six drivers in the Chase are mathematically eliminated after today's race. Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, and Tony Stewart are barely still alive in the Chase. The NEXTEL Drivers head to the Phoenix International Raceway to take part in the Checkers Auto Parts 500 next Sunday at 3:45pm EST on ABC.
